Trust and Truth
Trust and truth goes hand in hand. Without truth, there is no trust. The Lord Jesus is the Truth (Jn 14:6). This is why we can trust Him without reservation. The lack of honesty causes friction in relationships. There can be no trust without truth. The world’s legal foundation is built on people being sworn to “tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.” Let truth prevails amongst the Baptist community, binding us together as a family who cares dearly and deeply for one another. “Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbor, for we are all members of one body.” (Eph 4:25) Every organization and person has a history of weakness and faults. But thank God that with repentance, He offers forgiveness instantly. There is no need for us to dwell in the past flaws when we can celebrate His present grace. Past failures, though painful to the memory, must not remain as present truths. Let go of the past hurts and let us march forward together in truth, for we are all members of the same body.
